Founded in 2006, the National Certification Board for Natural Therapies (NCBNT) is an independent, non-governmental certification organization operating in Canada. NCBNT establishes and maintains professional certification standards for non-invasive natural and holistic therapy disciplines.

The organization’s mandate is to promote public safety and professional accountability by assessing practitioner education, training, and ethical conduct, and by supporting consistent standards through structured certification, evaluation, and continuing professional development.

NCBNT works with educators, training institutions, clinics, and practitioners to define measurable certification criteria, provide credential verification, and uphold a formal Code of Ethics and professional conduct framework.

NCBNT certification is a professional credential only. It does not confer medical licensure, authorize regulated or restricted acts, or replace any provincial licensing or registration requirements. Certified members are solely responsible for complying with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws, regulations, and scope-of-practice limitations.
